Paul Antonescu

The Force of Colours

Creatures coming out of a dream, the most coloured ever existing. In a unique fovist style the imaginary world of Paul Antonescu unfolds itself with no limits. The colours spring out and break free from the conventional patterns, assuming captivating forms and reliefs. Paradise beings and gentle monsters look at you with a hundred of eyes. Do not be surprised at a jewel or an amulet, well hidden in the curves of a woman sparkling with pleasure.

From the eye to the soul and the boundless realm of imagination! This is the way in which Paul Antonescu understands to convey energy by painting. You will be impressed at the explosion of lively colours smiling at you from rounded curves. The eyes of his coloured world invite you in with warmth and love. Feel like a child wanting to play with the rainbow after a good warm rain on a summer day. Warm your soul and set imagination free.

In the picturesque village Saint Paul de Vance in the South of France, Paul Antonescu mixes the colours of his dreams with the span of the memories he has from the many travels and the four countries where he lived. Painting has accompanied him for about 30 years, still wanting to convey forever this energy, our innermost.
